Josh Hartnett and Amanda Seyfried Split
April 16th, 2012 | Posted by Annie

This was fast! The news came out a couple days ago, but now it’s pretty much confirmed.

AMANDA Seyfried is back on the market. The actress has split from Josh Hartnett after the pair had dated for around 4 months, reports Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.

Sources say Amanda still holds a flame for her Mamma Mia! costar and former boyfriend Dominic Cooper.

“Amanda’s been flying home to Los Angeles when she’s not in the studio,” dished one insider.

“She has been trying to see Josh but it hasn’t worked. She decided to end things.”

Amanda — who has also dated Ryan Phillippe in the past — was recently asked if she’s going through a 20s slut phase.

“No! I’m terrified of being promiscuous. I don’t like the feeling you get when it’s not something that you truly want to do, and I hate the emotional abuse you give yourself afterward,” she said.

“It’s just uncomfortable when you’re with somebody and you’re like, ‘I don’t really know if I’m even comfortable with this. Why did I? Eww!’ I think dating can come without sex. I think that’s a really fun way to do it. Right now I’m happy to not have someone’s naked body around me. Except for my dog’s.

“I think about kids all the time. I feel like the next person I commit to, that’s going to be the guy who I’m going to have kids with. That’s in my crazy female brain. So that’s why I’m like, ‘I can’t commit.’”

And in the related chains of the mysterious cases of celebrity vampires. I’m of course talking about Keanu Reeves and Nicolas Cage, Josh has also revealed his vampire self, and no, I’m not talking about 30 Days of Night. Josh Hartnett Corduroy Magazine
August 19th, 2011 | Posted by Annie

Josh Hartnett is on the cover of the 9th issue of Corduroy Magazine. You can now purchase it online at www.corduroymag.com.

Josh Hartnett Corduroy Magazine

You can also read a snippet of the article:

Shortly after graduating high school, Josh Hartnett was accepted into the State University of New York’s prestigious acting conservatory. He was kicked out six months later.

Frustrated with what he perceived to be unrealistic expectations, he wrote to the dean of the program telling him that constant evaluations were strangling the students’ creativity. The dean, he says, responded by asking him to leave.

Years later, Harnett is reclining on a leather couch in a non-descript photo studio in West Hollywood, talking about stepping-stones. There’s this idea that every experience, whether positive or negative, propels you closer to your goal, he explains. Still, “you want the stepping stones to also be worth being part of.”

It’s late in the afternoon and Hartnett is restless. He’s been filming the colonial drama, Singularity, in Australia, but is in town for a few weeks “takings meetings.” Hartnett hasn’t lived in L.A. for a few years now (he splits his time between an apartment in New York and his hometown of Saint Paul, Minnesota) so he’s spent the past few weeks living out of a room at the Chateau Marmont.

“You wanna do this at the Chateau?” he asks, though it’s not clear if he’s asking more for him or for us. We decide to stay in the quieter and paparazzi-free confines of the studio that we have rented for the day’s shoot.

Hartnett is 32 and handsome; no longer the boyish heartthrob with moppish hair that graced teen magazine covers and posters at the on-set of his career, but not exactly grizzled and graying at the sides Brad Pitt-style either. On this day, he’s arrived in a loose-fitting Henley top, dark jeans and black boots, with a pair of gold-rimmed Ray-Bans dangling from his collar. He’s also wearing a knit “beanie,” which has become an unintended signature of sorts for him over the years. You get the impression the hat is more to help him keep a low profile than to make any kind of fashion statement.

“I’ve taken a couple years off from acting in film,” Hartnett says, as if to confirm the sentiment. “For a while now, I’ve been kind of uninspired to act.”

HOLLYWOOD hottie Josh Hartnett made an impromptu appearance at Vanity Nightclub on Friday night.

The hunk Pearl Harbour and Black Hawk Down star has been filming at Village Roadshow Studio at Movie World and also around Mt Tamborine and the Hinterland for the joint UK/Australian project titled Singularity.

He was more than happy to pose for photos with partygoers and we hear he certainly had many of the ladies in the club gasping for breath.

Josh’s Astrological Insights
July 30th, 2010 | Posted by Annie

Okay! I’m going to try to post more now before I start school again in a month. I’ll also do some cleaning up around the site and updating pages, so stayed tune for that! Anyways, I wanna share this analysis on Josh’s astrological sign with y’all – thought you guys might be interested. I am usually pretty cynical about all this astrological bs, but I think this reading is pretty accurate of Josh’s personality… yet, then again, I don’t know him at all, so you be the judge.

Actor Josh Hartnett, known for his roles in The Black Dahlia, Lucky Number Slevin, Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor, was born today in 1978. A Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer says he’s empathetic and family oriented. However, Moon in Aquarius gives his emotional nature an unconventional side that craves freedom. In his work, a Mercury-Saturn conjunction in Leo heightens his creativity and leadership ability. Because Saturn rules authority, this influence gives him a talent directing and producing. What’s more, Venus and Mars in Virgo indicate he’s a perfectionist.

In his personal life, the Virgo influences make Hartnett very particular when it comes to giving his heart away. Conversely, squares from Neptune indicate he’s overly idealistic about relationships. This peculiar mix spells trouble in love until he can balance the two extremes. Mainly, he likes to be needed and appreciates people who are conscientiousness, helpful, and down-to-earth. To date, he remains a bachelor.

Josh walking in NYC
June 27th, 2010 | Posted by Annie

Josh walking in NYC, looking pretty slick:

And Josh is in an internet-exclusive feature-length film called, Girl Walks Into a Bar. It will be released on Hulu and Youtube in September. Josh stars alongside Rosario Dawson, Zachary Quinto, Danny DeVito, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Carla Gugino.

In other news related to Josh:

Bill Murray was featured in Blackbook magazine recently and the article written about him also mentions Josh:

“Murray was dining at a restaurant in Brooklyn, where he can often be found blending in with the locals. Josh Hartnett, an actor he couldn’t quite place, approached him. ‘This guy shakes my hand and says, ‘You worked on Lost in Translation with my [then] girlfriend. Was she as much trouble for you as she was for me?’ But Scarlett [Johansson] was 17 when I worked with her, so no, she wasn’t,’ he says. ‘I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I don’t know who the fuck anyone is. I go through US Weekly, and it’s filled with reality stars I’ve never heard of. I don’t recognize anyone. People? Forget it.”

And UK TV presenter, Miquita Oliver, mentions Josh in her interview:

Miquita also finds it a challenge to interview anyone she has the hots for. ‘I just turn to mush and it’s so annoying because Steve Jones (her co-star) never gets nervous. I dropped my prompt cards in front of Josh Hartnett once and I’ve never recovered.’

Josh Hartnett’s Williamsburg Penthouse For Rent
June 18th, 2010 | Posted by Annie

Josh Hartnett’s vacating his lavish Williamsburg penthouse, and for the small monthly price of $9,000, you can rent it!

The 2,645-square-foot apartment boasts a 1,450-square-foot terrace with a jacuzzi, “a chef’s kitchen, flat-screen TVs, a state-of-the art music/video system, a gas fireplace and 13-foot ceilings,” reports the New York Post.

The 13-foot ceilings cater well to the floor-to-ceiling windows, which overlook the East River and display views of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines.

Hartnett’s former digs occupy the top of the Grestch Building, a once musical-instrument factory on 60 Broadway.

Kid Cudi’s Pursuit of Happiness MV
December 8th, 2009 | Posted by Annie

Josh produced Kid Cudi’s new mv for “Pursuit of Happiness” which features MGMT and Ratatat. The video is directed by Brody Baker who also directed Animal Collective’s My Girl.

Kid Cudi’s released the video for “Pursuit of Happiness” — his collab with Ratatat and MGMT. The clip, directed by Brody Baker (Animal Collective’s “My Girls”) is basically one extended, slow-mo champagne jam — featuring the Man on the Moon MC rapping his narcoleptic verses while a room full of pretty young couture-wearing things guzzle bubbly and occasionally spray the hot chicks with Dom like they’re NASCAR winners.

Cudi recently told MTV about the shoot. “We were just kicking it. When you see the video, it just makes me feel good, because I’m seeing all my friends and people that matter in my life,” he said. We’re sure the free-flowing bubbly also contributed to the GTs. “We were all celebrating. It’s like a New Year’s Eve-type thing. Everybody’s just getting wasted.” Theory confirmed.

And according to Rolling Stone, Cudi could be planning to film an afterparty, as well. The mag reports that the rapper is considering making a second video for the song — and this time MGMT and Ratatat will be invited.

Anyways, watch the video here.
