Guy Moshe’s “Bunraku”¸ starring Josh Hartnett, Woody Harrelson, and Demi Moore, makes its Middle East premiere at DIFF on December 16. The martial arts-live action/animation hybrid is a wild, futuristic tale of obsessive revenge, set in a dazzlingly-rendered future world ruled by the sword and combines Western and samurai, Japanese puppet theatre and killer clowns.

Josh attends Creaters Projects Festival
June 28th, 2010 | Posted by Annie |
Mark Ronson headlined the first of the Creators Project, an international series of events, at Milk Studios in New York on Saturday (26 June).
The event, organised by Vice magazine, also saw live returns from the likes of MIA, Interpol and The Rapture, as previously reported.
Playing live tracks alongside his classic DJ set of hip-hop and old skool soul, the New York-based producer unveiled songs from his new album, ‘Record Collection’, set for release in September.
Around 300 people, including actor Josh Hartnett, squeezed into Milk Studios’ first floor gallery for Ronson’s intimate two-hour set, which included performances from collaborators MNDR (aka Amanda Warner) for new single ‘Bang Bang Bang’ and Phantom Planet’s Alex Greenwald, who sang the Ronson-tweaked version of Radiohead’s ‘Just’ while executing an impressive crowd-surf.

Josh going to Dublin
February 10th, 2010 | Posted by Annie |
Josh will be heading to Dublin, Ireland to take part in the annual Irish Film and Television Awards ceremony at the end of this month.
It won’t be Hartnett’s first time on Irish soil. His father is Irish American, and Hartnett told the Sunday World he’s been to the country many times before.
“I’ve been to the south west coast a few times because that’s where my family is from originally, around the Dingle Peninsula,” he said. “My father is half Irish and I’ve spent quite a bit of time in Ireland.”
According to the World, Hartnett will mix a bit of business with pleasure during his time in Dublin, meeting with film executives about film projects possibly based in Ireland.
The awards ceremony is set for February 20. Among those nominated are the usual suspects, including Colin Farrell and Saoirse Ronan, and international stars such as Robert Downey Junior and Meryl Streep.
