Get ready for an uber long post! Josh attended the Ischia Global Film & Music Fest in Ischia, Naples, Italy. It is a film festival that originated  from Los Angeles and celebrates global cinema, music and arts in Italy. Congratulations to Josh who received the Ischia Acting Award! The Talented Actors Margherita Buy And Josh Hartnett To Receive The 2010 Ischia Acting Awards Ischia (Naples), June 26, 2010 - Margherita Buy and the American Josh Hartnett will receive the Ischia Acting Award, an Ischia International Arts Academy award given to the protagonists of World Cinema. ”We wanted to honor a young lady of Italian cinema, with more than 40 fillm assets and an impeccable career during which she was directed by many of the best Italian directors, Salvatores, Pigeons, Rubini, Ozpetek, Faenza and many others” announced Giancarlo Carriero. ” Along with her, a true Hollywood star that has always made alternative choices from big blockblusters to small independent productions such as The Faculty, The Virgin Suicides, O as Othello, Lucky Number Slevin, 30 Days of Night”. Margherita Buy has just finished filming the highly anticipated film Habemus Papam. Josh Hartnett will pair with Demi More in the movie Bunraku. The Ischia Global Film & Music Fest, the most popular Summer Film & Music Event in Italy, is co-produced by the non-profit Ischia International Arts Academy with the Naples (Italy) Board of Tourism and with the special support of the European Union, the Campania Region Board of Tourism and Cultural Assets and the D.G. Cinema - Italian Ministry of Culture. The event will host the major protagonists of cinema and music, with screenings, round table discussions and meetings aimed at fostering the growth of Italian and European industry in the world market. Hey! It’s been a while since I last updated. Sorry about that, I’ve been quite busy. Josh wearing nerd glasses at the Kitchen Annual Gala at the end of May: And a little bit more about “Bunraku” from an interview of a stunt co-ordinater who worked on the film: What’s the name of the movie?Stovall: ‘Bunraku’. It stars Josh Hartnett. This Japanese superstar named Gackt who’s basically like the Michael Jackson of Japan. This will be his first American movie. He’s as popular as Steven Chow or Rain, basically. This will be his first one. He was a co-lead in that one. Also, there’s – What’s that about? Stovall: It’s basically this westerner, Josh Hartnett, who comes to this town obviously seeking revenge or looking for the killer of his father. Gackt is there for his own personal mission as well. He’s trying to honor something that I think his uncle or his father wants him to do as a last request. Obviously they become teammates and have to go on the same journey together but what’s stopping them on this journey are these fighters who are all killers. It’s funny because Ron Perlman is the lead killer and Kevin McKidd is his right hand man. So, basically, there’s killer one through ten and most of the killers are played by stunt guys which helps to enhance the action. So there’s going to be a tremendous amount of fights. Coachella Music Festival April 20th, 2010 | Posted by Annie

Josh went to the Coachella Musica Festival a few days ago. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual massive music fest put on by Goldenvoice in Empire Polo Fields in Indio, Calif. It houses several stages where bands can simultaneous play, camp grounds, a giant Ferris wheel, as well as plenty of water fights to keep cool in the desert sun. This year marked the 11th celebration of Coachella and it brought in 125 acts performing every genre of music including hip-hop, rap, electronic and modern rock. Jay-Z, Gorillaz, Beyonce, Radiohead and buzz acts like Fever Ray, the xx, and She and Him all performed. Source: Huliq.com And a tidbit about Josh: Josh Hartnett, also a Coachella-goer, partied in a nearby airplane hangar for the Neon Carnival bash. The actor rode a mechanical moose until he was bucked off – prompting the actor (and his friends, who watched) to crack up. Then they roamed the party, taking in the sights – including a giant Ferris wheel and bumper cards. Josh attended the “Breaking Upwards” premiere in LA. “Breaking Upwards” is a indie picture with Olivia Thirlby (Juno) and is about a New York City couple who experiment with devising their own breakup after four years of a codependent relationship and explore alternatives to monogamy.  This theme of couples exploring outside of traditional monogamy seems to be trend in indie films these days. The film is based on the real life relationship of the screenplay’s writers, Zoe Lister Jones and Daryl Wein, who also star in the film. Josh is seen posing with Anne Hathaway, Zoe Lister Jones and Daryl Wein. And here are thre videos of Josh at the Premiere. Irish Film & TV Festival & Bafta Afterparty February 22nd, 2010 | Posted by Annie

Irish Film & TV Festival. Josh presented the Best Actress Award: And videos of Josh at the Festival. Includes clips of Josh on the red carpet and interviews: Josh at the Bafta’s Afterparty at Momo in London. He stayed until the end, being one of the last to leave and appearing a bit worse for wear. Josh stumbled upon a parked taxi which was already occupied by a woman. He whispered something into her ear and then climbed into the back of the taxi. Okay, so he legit only has one shirt. He’s been wearing that plaid shirt for days lol.
