Kid Cudi’s Pursuit of Happiness MV December 8th, 2009 | Posted by Annie

Josh produced Kid Cudi’s new mv for “Pursuit of Happiness” which features MGMT and Ratatat. The video is directed by Brody Baker who also directed Animal Collective’s My Girl. Kid Cudi’s released the video for “Pursuit of Happiness” — his collab with Ratatat and MGMT. The clip, directed by Brody Baker (Animal Collective’s “My Girls”) is basically one extended, slow-mo champagne jam — featuring the Man on the Moon MC rapping his narcoleptic verses while a room full of pretty young couture-wearing things guzzle bubbly and occasionally spray the hot chicks with Dom like they’re NASCAR winners. Cudi recently told MTV about the shoot. “We were just kicking it. When you see the video, it just makes me feel good, because I’m seeing all my friends and people that matter in my life,” he said. We’re sure the free-flowing bubbly also contributed to the GTs. “We were all celebrating. It’s like a New Year’s Eve-type thing. Everybody’s just getting wasted.” Theory confirmed. And according to Rolling Stone, Cudi could be planning to film an afterparty, as well. There are two covers to the november edition of Korean Vogue. One is of Josh with LBH and one is of Josh with a Korean model. The story with LBH is called ‘A Few Good Men‘. “If You Dare” Documentary & ‘Gunslinger’ September 13th, 2009 | Posted by Annie

Josh was in a part in a documentary named ‘If You dare’. He talks about his experience mentoring a child in the Chicago Avenue Project, which is a program that give a feeling of success to children through theatre. Josh works with a child named Jordan and in the play, which Jordan came up with, Josh plays a role of a worm who is also a professor. You can view the trailer of the documentary on YOUTUBE. We now know the characters’ names:  Josh Hartnett has lined up for the lead role in “dystopian action-thriller” Gunslinger, set in post-apocalyptic America. He will play Sev, who sets out with his brother Jake to seek revenge for the murder of their parents. Chris Nahon (Blood: The Last Vampire) directs. “This story takes a unique and startling look at what might happen when the lawlessness of the Old West returns…but with better weapons,” said Mark Williams, who is producing with Albert Martinez Martin. I was completely unaware of Josh supporting Kids Kicking Cancer. He along with many actors like Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Colin Farrell, Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel etc. filmed a short video to support the foundation. Kids Kicking Cancer is a group that offers emotional and physical aid to pediatric cancer patients and families. You can watch the video online on the MDC PRODUCTIONS YOUTUBE CHANNEL . ICWTR cast on Japan’s SmapxSmap June 9th, 2009 | Posted by Annie

Another new clip of a Japanese TV program covering the ICWTR Japan press conference. Josh praises his co-stars. He says that Takuya Kimura was very gracious and hard-working. As for Lee Byung-hun, Josh also praised him for being hard-working but was suprised that he was funny as his previous roles were usually very serious. You can watch it on YOUTUBE HERE. So, I finally got to watch Josh-shu Hart-ta-net-toh on Smap x Smap, a Japanese variety show. I think he is not used to Asian variety shows, because he looked a little uncomfortable, especially at the bit where the host, Shingo, who was acting as a lady, was touching him everywhere. But I LOLed at the bit where Josh smacks Shingo’s hand when he was touching Josh’s knees. It was also really funny when Shingo kept trying to hit on Lee Byung hun and touching his muscles. All Takuya did was trying to stop Shingo. They also played a match of arm wrestling against Shingo. Josh let Shingo win lol. I hope they also promote ICWTR in Korea and Hong Kong, so that they will go on MORE variety shows! So I guess ICWTR is really popular in Japan and they are really trying to promote the movie. A fan said that they gave out ICWTR plastic umbrella bags in the department stores in Japan on rainy days for people to put their wet umbrellas in while shopping. Also, 30 Days of Night is being released in Japan on the 22nd of August (I know.. such a late release date). And a new Japanese official site for the movie has been launched [View it here].
